Intermediate/Advanced Pottery Wheel 2026
Intermediate pottery wheel classes will continue to build on skills you’ve learned in beginner’s pottery wheel classes. Exploring specific topics/projects will help to take your pottery wheel skills to the next level. These pottery wheel classes are for students who have taken at least one month long beginner’s pottery wheel class with us, or have the ability to confidently center 2lbs of clay and create even 6 inch tall cylinders. If you have never taken classes with EPIC please email us before enrolling so that we can confirm this is the right class for you.

February: 2/21 and 2/28 5:30-7:30pm
Throwing and trimming jars and lids. You will throw about 3-5 different lidded vessels in week one, and trim them in week two. Come to an open studio to glaze your class work at no additional open studio fee.
March: 3/7, 3/14, and 3/21 5:30-7:30pm
Throwing closed forms and hollow donut forms. You will be able to make things like vases, travel mugs, and jars out of your closed forms. Throwing will happen on week one, trimming on week two, and glazing/decoration on week three.
