K-12 Student Art Contest

Students living in Wyandotte County are invited to submit to YOU ARE HERE, an art show that will take place at EPIC Arts Clay Studio on September 18, 5-9pm at the Third Friday Art Walk in collaboration with Build WyCo’s annual Block Party.
The theme of the show is home: art about your community and what home means to you, whether past, future, or present.
All types of visual, physical art are accepted, including drawings, paintings, clay, sculptures, written poems, photography, etc.
A panel of local artists, staff, and community members will curate the show and award cash prizes ($50-100) to several outstanding pieces in each age group.
Submit by August 14, 2026 at 11:59pm. Selected students artists will be contacted by the beginning of September! Feel free to email us at epicclaystudio@buildwyco.org with any questions throughout the process.

Se invita a los estudiantes que residen en el condado de Wyandotte a participar en YOU ARE HERE, una exposición de arte que tendrá lugar en EPIC Arts Clay Studio el 18 de septiembre, de 5:00 p. m. a 9:00 p. m., durante el evento Third Friday Art Walk y en colaboración con la fiesta anual Block Party de Build WyCo.
El tema de la exposición es el hogar: obras de arte sobre tu comunidad y lo que el hogar significa para ti, ya sea en el pasado, el presente o el futuro.
Se aceptan todo tipo de obras de arte visual y físico, incluyendo dibujos, pinturas, piezas de arcilla, esculturas, poemas escritos, fotografías, etc.
Un jurado compuesto por artistas locales, personal y miembros de la comunidad seleccionará las obras para la exposición y otorgará premios en efectivo (de 50 a 100 dólares) a varias obras destacadas en cada grupo de edad.
