May: Intermediate/Advanced Pottery Wheel Bootcamp!
A month-long, project-based wheel class for adults with previous pottery wheel experience (please read requirements below). Class will meet Saturdays, 3-5pm. (May, 11, 18, 25, June*1)
Topic for February: Bootcamp - Consistency with centering, pulling, and handles.
This month we will spend time working on problem solving and consistency to improve our pottery wheel skills. We will cut things in half. We will make lots of mistakes - and learn from them! We will focus on centering the clay, pulling up the walls, centering pots on the wheel for trimming, making nice handles, and consistency in a series of pieces. You can expect to go through a lot of clay for the purpose of learning and end up with a few pieces to take home at the end of the class.
This class is for students who have taken at least one month of Beginner’s Pottery Wheel (or have equivalent experience) and who hope to refine skills with a focused project. Please email us before enrolling if you have pottery wheel experience but haven’t taken a class with EPIC before. Class fee includes all clay, glazes, other supplies and kiln firings.
