Poetry/Pottery: Return to Earth. A Tribute to Andrea Gibson

Turn your favorite poem, line or image from Andrea Gibson’s poetry into a piece of pottery (mug, trinket dish, bookend, etc).
From the instructor:
“Andrea Gibson is one of my favorite poets of all time. When I heard about their passing earlier this week, it felt deeply personal. I found a deep, beautiful, and aching sense of community across social media as my feed turned into a collaborative tribute to their wonderful life and work. I wanted to create a space where poets and poem-lovers around KC could come celebrate Andrea together, in person.
Bring a book of their poetry if you’ve got one. We’ll read some of our favorite poems of theirs, and ultimately make something out of clay inspired by their work.”

Your piece will be fired and ready for pick up within a month! Class fee covers firings and food-safe glazes. No poetry or pottery experience needed to participate.
